Tai Chi classes in Northwest New Jersey
Yang, Chen and Chi Kung
Study Yang and Qigong with Grandmaster Tom Sulick. Classes meet in the VFW Post in Washington on Tuesday evenings beginning at 6:30.
Interested visitors are welcome any evening we have class, however, please contact Sensei Tom at 908-689-2122 prior to coming. The schedule tends to vary from time to time so it is best to make sure class will be held.
New students are welcome. The benefits of Tai Chi are for any level of fitness and skill.
Dress, as you can tell from my pose, is very casual. Loose fitting clothing you can move in easily and comfortably.
Length of a Tai Chi class averages 45 - 75 minutes depending on what is covered during each session.
Be prepared for some mild stretching, and for beginners, feeling awkward is to be expected. Tai Chi moves are not complex, just different than how you normally move. However, once you know the routine you will move through it smoothly. The smoother you move, the easier the stretching becomes.
When I first started, a pose like shown on this page was impossible. Not only to get into it, but to hold it.
Tai Chi exercise, once learned is fun, healthy and lifelong. Come see us, join us and enjoy the benefits of movement.
